Galaga Event Horizon

Galaga: Event Horizon combines a modern cockpit space shooter with a separate recreation of classic arcade gameplay. Players face alien formations, diving attackers, and escalating combat challenges in two distinct modes. The game runs in a browser, with keyboard, mouse, touch, and game-controller support, adjustable difficulty, and locally saved preferences and high scores.

In Event Horizon, players pilot the Kestrel through a 15-wave campaign, maneuvering around a three-dimensional battlefield while facing its central combat point. Twin wingtip photon cannons and homing torpedoes counter alien swarms and heavily armed hive carriers, while regenerating shields, hull repairs, and a strafe boost support survival. A detailed cockpit includes target indicators, collision warnings, and a live lower-view display, surrounded by a celestial environment featuring two stars, a ringed planet, orbiting moons, and a comet.

Arcade 1981 returns to a portrait playfield with lateral movement, limited firing volleys, and patterned enemy attacks. It recreates tractor-beam captures, fighter rescues, dual-fighter combat, and challenging stages, with one-player or alternating two-player play. Updated animated artwork and synthesized sound accompany the familiar mechanics; this mode is a reconstruction rather than a cycle-exact emulation of the original arcade hardware.
